How about this wonderful Versailles chalk paint make over?! …with a little old ochre peeking through.
While junking one Saturday I found this wonderful dresser. It had some stains on the top, but otherwise in really good condition. I knew it would be perfect for another chalk paint make over.
Here’s the before…
And after the chalk paint take over…
I painted old ochre around the edges and other places I was planning to sand so it would peek through, then painted the entire dresser in Versailles followed by a clear wax.
I love how the chalk paint gives you lots of texture…
I didn’t realize it would “blend” so well with the wall color…which was a very similar green!
And this last picture gives you a glimpse of my next project…a mahogany china cabinet redo!
Thanks for checking out my blog! Hope you enjoyed it.

I love the carved details to that mirror--dresser! Great transformation.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! What a transformation. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWow! It really turned out great. The detail on that mirror is fabulous, and the chalk paint really brings out the character even more.
