Quick Christmas Screen Transformation

I created this Christmas screen from an inspiration window I found on pinterest!  I love pinterest – tons of ideas and tutorials!!

This was the inspiration – I loved it because I have tons of these windows left over from another project.  But I wasn’t sure how I could cut the lettering, since I won’t get my cricut until Christmas…so I thought I would improvise with other things.  And then I found a cool screen…so I decided to use it instead of a window!

So I added lots of Christmas touches to it…so I could use it to hang cards and ornaments.  I love this because after Christmas, I can decorate it to match my everyday decor for a note holder and hang pictures…a message station really!  I can’t wait to do that!  There were screws & bolts already on the frame so I just wrapped the garland and I used a few brad tacks and some hot glue for the bow.  It was so simple and easy…and QUICK!

This was the screen before…rather Plain Jane but still with alot of potential and character, and I had the inspiration window!  I found this heavy duty screen from a local junk store – and it was a steal!  I knew I could so something creative with it.  I liked the white paint, so decided not to do anything to it paint-wise.  The screen is pretty big – although it doesn’t look it in the pics.  It’s about 2 1/2 feet square.
